Love is in the details

I popped over to visit Marta at the Laloushka studio in December last year but only now I found a moment to write about it. We barely talked, as she was really busy with last minute Christmas orders. While Marta was adding final touches to the dolls, to be couriered over under the trees in many parts of the world, I made myself busy with snooping around. I am always amazed at the details of the personalized dolls, magically created by Marta and her team. Did you know that some people send really detailed descriptions of the dolls, including PowerPoint presentations? I’m not kidding you, I’ve seen some! Just check out the picture of the doll below – it is a miniature version of a stylist working at Harper’s Bazaar. In the description it said that the doll must have red painted finger nails and be equipped with a mini magazine. If you think that’s a problem for the Laloushka designer, think twice…
